Healing is a process where the wound must first be exposed and as it is tended to by the necessary cleansing and disinfecting agents.
The germs, impurities and unwanted substances come up to the surface and are dealt with through cleansing.
It may burn, ache and feel uncomfortable but after the initial pain the wound closes up and healing takes place.
We need to expose our wounds before God before any other person. Our wounds should be exposed in his presence, there is where the healing will begin. If we allow ourselves to try to clean it on our own we may end up making it worse or neglecting it leading it to get infected.
The thing about God is that he knows all things, therefore reveal your wound to Him, because he knows about it anyhow and he knows exactly what is needed to cleanse it and purify it. It will never be an easy process but it is so necessary that you expose yourself to the only true God who can deliver you.
No matter how nasty the wound is the mere fact that it is there, it is hurting you, and it is being brought to your attention for care, deal with it in God’s presence.
God is so real, so true Psalm 46 : 1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
His way of healing you will be like no other, after all impurities, incorrect mindsets, unhealthy habits/behaviors, cycles, depression, anxiety, disobedience come to the surface he can handle it and will show you how to let go for your healing to come.
Hebrews 3:15 New King James Version (NKJV) “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion”
If he is calling you to the secret place to reveal your wounds to Him, do not hide, go.
Dear Heavenly Father,
May we trust that your ways are better and higher than our own, may we obey your call to reveal our wounds to you that you may heal us. We know that each wound can look different for different people and different seasons but regardless we have a need, some of us are broken and need your help no matter how nasty the wound is. Please help us to dig deeper, stay longer in your presence as you reveal yourself to us. In Jesus’ name
