He is good

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136 : 1

God’s goodness never ceases, and I’m learning this everyday.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23 : 4 I am comforted by the fact that God remains good, through the scary times, through the hardships, and through the blessings and great times!

His nature is good, his character is goodness. He is simply good and today I want to give you a refresher for your mind. Remember even during the time when something amazing happens and you remember that God is good that is also that same God when disappointing things happen or when you are not in the best season at the moment. Also always remember no season is forever but God’s goodness is eternal and he is capable of giving you joy in every circumstance. Please rest assured that God is Good and his mercy endures forever for you.

Give thanks to God today because no matter what your human emotions try to sway yoh into thinking, God loves you, you are valued by him and he is always good to you. Be blessed, it will work out.

Dear Father as we approach various challenges, and tasks at hand help us to simply remember your goodness in every circumstance and trust in the fact that it is not forever but your goodness is. In Jesus’s name amen.

Disciplined

Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me9, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
Psalm 143:1‭-‬12 KJV

One thing I learn from David, he was a servant before he became king, and even more than that he remained a servant during his appointed time. Sometimes we need to remember to learn to remain disciplined. Being a servant of God does not mean you are nothing in God’s sight rather the opposite, you are everything in his eyes. He loves you and ultimate fulfilment is found in serving him with your complete life.

Being disciplined in spirit, mind, body and emotions is what will help us to declutter some toxic mindsets, attitudes and patterns of behaviour. We are going on a detox of the mind this week and moving forward (however long it needs to be) and during this time I will share with you what God is teaching me about discipline and how it helps detox and declutter the mental turmoil and stress. Discipline helps you rather than destroys you, you will see in the end the fruit of discipline.

So far God has taught me through my devotional this morning to rise early this will be our first step in creating a pattern and ritual of discipline. Get up and do not lag, it will be hard at first but let’s do it this week the benefits of rising early have been proven to be mentally, physically and spiritually beneficial and as we see in David’s life, he seemed to always create a time and space early in the morning where he went to seek God.

THIS WEEK let us determine to rise early before the sun rises to spend quiet, intimate time with God. Let him lead that quiet time and you listen, wherever he leads, you follow and open yourself up to his delivering power. Do not limit the voice or power of God. You didn’t read this by accident, I know you are not a morning person and you may or may not associate the morning with having to rush off to work, but let’s switch that up shall We?

Be intentional and rise before the sun comes up, be quiet and let God speak.

The next step of this discipline is setting aside a time morning, during the day and at night before you rest to check in with God. Go before him and repent. Set time aside this week in the morning during the day and at night.

RISE EARLY and you will find that it becomes a habit.

Dear God, give us the willpower to rise early create discipline in our hearts as it would benefit us more than we currently know. Help us to speak to you with a raw honesty because you already know where we stand and how we feel. We surrender our depression, sucidical thoughts, anxiety, worry, cares, lust, pornography addictions, lies, thoughts of stealing and the deepest desires of our heart to your feet. Wash us, create in us a clean heart, help us to create a life of discipline by starting our day off rising early with you and may we see the fruit of it through our lives , in Jesus’s name amen.

Leave a comment or message about where you struggle with discipline and how you plan to start the journey of becoming discipline in mind, body and spirit.

Unashamed

Today let’s be determined to be unashamed of the gospel of Christ. Let’s not have this powerful light and seek to hide it away, find someone today and let them know simply that Jesus loves them and has his eye on them, some you may need to hear that and you never know who or how it would impact them.

We need to begin to put our fears away and not be ashamed to actually speak and proclaim our love for our Heavenly Father among unbelievers of every kind. Be bold you don’t have to preach a sermon just where you feel the nudge to share a word with a stranger, a friend or even loved one, it can be a very simple word, but step out in faith and love and share God with people!

Be blessed !

Prayer

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 KJV

Repentance is a choice either you decide to walk in sin or decide not to, if you need to turn around, turn, as long as there is breath it is never too late.

Dear Heavenly Father help me to be plyable to your correction, your direction and your transformation. As I move forward show me where I am going, and where I may have made the wrong turn. I repent of my past and present sin, I choose to turn around completely and walk in the opposite direction and choose to allow the Holy Spirit to mold me into who he desires me to be, without fear or shame. In Jesus name, have your way! Amen
