David Danced

2 Samuel: 6:20-22

Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

21 And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.

22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

The bible speaks about David dancing before the Lord with all his might to the point where Michal, Saul’s daughter described him as shamelessly uncovering himself as he danced. David’s response was clear he said it was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.

This dance was before THE Lord and not man. There will be some people who question your praise, your dance, your worship, your expression before your God who choose YOU, may your response be the same in which you choose to express yourself because of The Lord and for The Lord who is your God

Next time you know the Spirit of God is moving within you, dance, shout, move, worship, Express yourself FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD AND NOBODY ELSE.

Only YOU can testify from your experience.

Thank you God

Sometimes all you can manage to say is thank you to God…

Nothing more.. Nothing less.. just thank you.

Offer up a praise and worship not just with your tongue or lips but a life worth of it.

I thank you GOD and may we live lives devoted to worship, adoration and thanksgiving of you. Amen.

TESTIMONY TIME!!!

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations.

Only today and the day before God reminded me that His love is steadfast and immovable. He has a steady and sure love that we don’t need to question or wonder about because it remains the same, it is CONSTANT. He brought this to me to remind me he never changes and that we need to remain steadfast in our faith as well to Him. Never moving, yes sometimes we grow weary waiting but his reminder to me and now to you is to remain STEADFAST.

For years I have been praying for a vehicle of my own that can be shared between my mum and I and for years we have been getting very old second hand cars that eventually broke down and stopped working. We said once we were in a financial state to afford it we would buy our own. It took a long time before we began to see how it would work but God opened the doors only last year for me to get financial support and with continued prayers about it he allowed a friend of mine to send me the contact for a car dealership that is known to operate very effective and efficient. Soon after contacting them we were able to begin the smooth process in getting our own car. This is not a post to brag but instead to give praise and to testify that God’s love is in fact steadfast and our faithfulness shouldn’t be dependent on what we get from him but rather for who He is. Remain steadfast in your walk of faith brothers and sisters. I thank God for his faithfulness and I pray to extend the same love to others with the blessings he has given to me.

The waiting season is never in vain. Pray while you wait !

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, as we wait on you help us to remember not to be in prayer when we want something but to adapt to the lifestyle of praying without ceasing. Our very breath is a blessing so may we be steadfast in prayer, in love and in commitment to you even while we wait. Thank you for the blessings you have already poured out on us. In Jesus name, amen.
