You were bought with a price!

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you  which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6: 18-20

These words are delving deep into my spirit this morning as I read and understand them and I pray they do the same for you

YOU were bought with a price, your body is an actual temple of the Holy Ghost. If we spend time really understanding that we would never get into some of the habits and practices that we’ve become so comfortable getting into.

We would begin to see out bodies with much more worth and value than we’ve seen it before.

I not only apply this verse to fornication but to sexual habits and other practices that do not add any value to our temple’s.

If our bodies were bought with such a price and the Holy Spirit himself calls us his temple for which he dwells how can we then indulge in sexual sin, masturbation, intoxication, and many other habits that dishonor our temple’s.

Think of how much you are worth and the fact that the Holy Spirit seeks to dwell WITHIN you before we begin indulging in things that are not worth how much we are. We were bought with a price, let us carry ourselves as such.

It is not worth it.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you that your word reminds us of the high value you have placed on us as your beloved children. May we carry ourselves with the understanding that we are the temples of the Holy Ghost and may we learn to honor our temple by caring for it and treating it with love and respect in obedience to you. May we honour you and may we honour our temple. In Jesus name, amen

God’s wisdom

The foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. 1 Corinthians 1: 25 & 27

God’s wisdom is way above and beyond our own. This day and weekly’s encouragement is to remember that even the ‘foolishness’ of God is wiser than what you and I think to be wise. God knows much better than you.

So this day and moving forward begin to let go of what you know to be wise in your own eyes, your own understanding of what is right or true. Let go.

Let God teach you through his word, through experience and through the Holy Spirit’s whisper his wisdom and understanding. Let go and listen to the wisdom of God, you are much safer there.

Dear Heavenly Father, give us the humility to let go of our own understanding which may be causing us to walk in disobedience. Help us to trust your divine wisdom and walk in it. We trust you and let go. In Jesus’ name amen.

Led by the spirit of God

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8: 14

Take a deeper look and dive into Romans 8 : Life in the Spirit , as we take a deeper dive into this scripture we can begin to understand what Life by the Spirit really means.

I know, It’s easier said than done but it is time to start somewhere. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh; but after the Spirit. Romans 8: 1. What does walking after the Spirit look like? But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galations 5: 22-23. These qualities can come and go depending on the day right? But to live after the Spirit is to walk in this fruit daily, and yes it means dying to self daily. I know the easiest thing to do is walk in the natural response of the flesh, we all do it and we can get very comfortable very quickly, but in order to live by the Spirit of God we must encounter some discomfort because our flesh won’t like when we choose love and joy instead of bitterness and anger. We would rather return scorn and hatred to a brother/sister than to live in kindness and goodness. We can easily ignore God and his people and live selfishly rather than being faithful as a Christian and gentle in spirit and in WORD. Self – control is a big one, because we can easily let loose, let go, say a few curse words, fly off the handle, give in to our desires “just for a little bit” rather than exercising self-control. We are all guilty and we all have fallen short at some point, I definitely have.

As brothers and sisters in Christ we must encourage each other to live by the Spirit. So my encouragement to you let’s write/note down where we easily fall and keep it in mind. As we walk through our day let us be concious of what walking by the Spirit looks like, let us remember that if we are led by the Spirit rather than the flesh, we are called the sons of God.

Dear Father,

As you lead me in my day to day activities help me to remember that I am not of this world but that your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of all truth lives within me therefore I must walk in the way of the Spirit. Help me up when I fall to get back on my feet stronger than before after learning from my mistakes. Keep me on a path of life and peace because the life of the spirit is one of life and peace and that is the path I choose this day, thank yiu for your grace and mercy and for never forsaking me, I love you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Trust in God’s word

The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.
Psalms 12:6 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/psa.12.6.NKJV

The word is living truth, so as this scripture emphasizes that God’s words are pure like silver tried in a furnace of the earth purified seven times, why do we doubt Him?

He spoke to you in that dream, through your pastor, leader, even friend, through that bible verse or message, His words are clear. His words never go against truth, it always brings with it peace and conviction “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12. The word of God penetrates the soul and spirit causing us to re examine our lives and choices.

Trust that when God speaks His words will be clear and will be confirmed through His word. It will always be truthful and will always align with righteousness and peace.

God bless you

Salvation prayer

You may be wondering what is a prayer of salvation?

Romans 10: 9-10

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raise Him from the dead, those shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Today, we will confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and that God His Father raised him from the dead. We will believe these truths in our hearts without doubting, knowing that Jesus died as a ransom for the sake of our sinful nature. We were all destined for hell but His life here on earth and sacrifice to bring people to a new hope in Him stopped us in our tracks to hell. We can now believe in Him, confess our sin and accept Him we have His Holy spirit now living within us a life he purposed for us to live as we obey Him. Our lives won’t always be perfect, but as you accept Him after confessing your sin you will now be made into a new creation in Christ. This means your old ways of thinking will be made new because he will renew your mind daily as you trust Him. Even when you slip sometimes and fall you will know you can get back up and keep going with Him. Your belief in Him and obedience to Him is what is required.

You will now live a life of total freedom from the deadly traps of sin.

Say this prayer in your own words:

Dear Heavenly father,

I admit my sins, I am a sinner {expand and confess further sins if led} and I need your deliverance and power at work in my life. Cleanse me Father, I trust and believe in you.

I believe you have sent your son Jesus Christ as a baby to redeem this world from the deadly nature of sin through His sacrifice of death on the cross. I believe he died for me. Because of this sacrifice I have decided to surrender my life to Him, that i may be made whole and have his Holy Spirit live in me. So I surrender and ask that you Holy Spirit will dwell in me and wash my sins away, as I walk this walk of faith I know it will not always be easy but I trust you to carry be and help me up when I fall. I am dedicated to walking as your child wherever you lead. In Jesus’s name, amen.

Congratulations, you’re saved now go forth and seek further counsel from the Holy Spirit on a church to join so that you can enter into a brother/sisterhood of believers that will guide you in wisdom.

You can always leave a comment or message for any further discussions you may want to have here. 💜

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

JOY is a choice.

JOY is finding a reason to be at peace and to have a deep rooted, unshakable, unmoveable hope that cannot be easily disrupted. This hope reassures us that we are going to be okay and that all is well because at the end of the day God is good full stop. His nature is good, he is the very essence of goodness and purity. His design and plans are only for our good, thus at the end of the day all is well. So joy is remembering God’s nature, His design and Hisnplan and knowing beyond the temporary circumstance that all is well because He is good. It is trusting that all will be well when presently it may not look like it will be. Joy keeps us hopeful because beyond what we can see we can hold onto a promise and a peace. We are already okay and we have a saviour who is watching our every step how can he let us fall if we trust in HIM?

Decide today that beyond what you can see you will have a hope in joy knowing that you are okay and most importantly God is GOOD. Let joy keep you admist the storm, temptations and other issues of life. Stand firm in joy because it will help you through what feels like forever torment, it reminds you that nothing is permanent and you ALWAYS have something to give praise for. So today give praise because look at where you are, here!

Choose joy you have enough breath in your lungs and hope in your heart to release a praise and a thanks. Be at peace. Be at rest. God is your portion. His nature is good. This is temporary and you are already okay ❤

Dear God,

As we enter into a new season of unfamiliarity sometimes fear and hopelessness try to occupy the spaces of our hearts where joy and peace should be. May we choose joy going forward, intentionally seeking the will of you our Father and king and choosing to hope in your goodness instead. We trust your nature and your peace finds us in the worst seasons may we remember you are a promise keeper and the peace elf our lives we have joy knowing that you God of all creation who cares about even the hairs on our head are with us. In Jesus’ name, amen

Trust

God is teaching me/us trust today and going forward, his Word says in Proverbs 3: 5-6 “trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.”

Trust- rely on , rest on

Trusting with ALL YOUR HEART means everything within your heart, all the concerns of the heart are relying on God. It means there is nothing in our hearts hidden from God, we have shown him everything concerning our heart and so we trust him with the sloghtest concern and detail. Truat means you have laid down your own understanding, believing that His is better even when you don’t fully comprehend it. It is just believing in Him and knowing his character is good and is love so his understanding and his ways are always to prosper.

In which ways can we trust God today? Even with the slightest detail write down every way you can trust God and lean not on your own understanding because you will fail each time you try to try God and still figure it out on your own. So today, let’s write down our heart’s fears, concerns and matters and let’s write how we are going to trust God with them.

God may we learn to trust in your name, you’re all knowing, all powerful, everywhere all at once you stand outside of time and space so with that knowing help us to TRUST YOU. We lift every concern, matter and thought gathered in our hearts to you and we decide instead of leaning in what we believe we understand, we trust in your with our WHOLE hearts. In Jesus’s name amen.

He that follows. . .

Today’s scripture is Proverbs 21:21 “He that followeth after righteousness and mercy, findeth life, righteousness and honour.”

When you follow after something more often that not they become your idol and you idolize the journey to get there. You can idolize wealth, relationships/marriage, upholding a particular image, physical attributes, material assets, ideas construed.

Anything

And I mean anything can be an idol if we follow after it and desire it with more than we ought. The word instructs us today to follow after righteous and mercy, we will then find a life of abundance. What we follow after is what we tend to worship. Use wisdom and seek to follow after a righteous, honourable, humble life and watch God provide.

Dear Heavenly Father, give me a heart that longs for your will rather than my own. May I seek after righteousness and things that concern your heart’s desires rather than the idols that take up space in mine. Open my eyes to those idols that may consume my thoughts more than they ought to. And bring me back to a place of repositioning myself to honour you with each decision in Jesus’s name I pray, amen and amen.

Psalm 147

Take your time to read:

King James Version

147 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

The Lord lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.

Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.

14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord.

I know this time of season is busy, take your time to digest all of what God is teaching you today and yet praise Him.

Praise His name above all circumstances here on the earth. Our God cannot and should not be compared to circumstantial issues, they are not stable.

Our God is dependable and is described as our firm foundation, when we talk about Him, we can only praise Him. Praise the God of Heaven who is seated above and beyond issues.

God loves you so much, obey His command and praise Him.

Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, you sit high above all of my issues, issues that have no weight compared to your majesty. May I yet praise you in the midst of them and watch them crumble to your feet. You are God, majestic and Holy you are. I love you may you make your face to shine upon me today, may I praise you as I wake during my day, and as I sleep in Jesus’ name, amen.

Psalm 94

May you ponder this scripture in your heart, love❤ we are all God’s little loves

93 The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.

The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.
