Never too far gone

and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death,
Philippians 3:9‭-‬10 NLT
https://bible.com/bible/116/php.3.9-10.NLT

If we count on our own righteousness to be saved we will never get there. Paul did the worst acts towards believers in Christ, condemning them, slaughtering them, you name it. He hated Christians, then God turned his life completely around. He believed in Christ and through his faith he was changed, if God can transform an unbelieving murderer like Paul how much more you and I? You haven’t done too much, you haven’t gone too far, you aren’t too lost or too odd, infact God welcomes the odd. He welcomes people who are different because they are impactful, after all he made you different for that very reason.

So obey, step into the light. The mere fact that you’re reading this means God wants to speak with you and he wants you in his kingdom. We don’t count on our own righteousness but we become righteous simply through faith which is believing firmly in Christ as our saviour. When we believe in him our faith grows and he counts that as righteousness because we have faith.

Take time out to believe in Christ this morning, believe that he died on the cross for you and that he is drawing you by his Spirit to say yes to his salvation power, he wants you.

He doesn’t want you to become a religious Christian that believes if they don’t follow a particular law they will die, he wants a genuine relationship with you based and founded on faith. He wants you to believe on him and believe he is there, real and that he died for your sins. He wants you to listen to his tender but firm and loving voice that only seeks to love you. He wants you to believe and to obey. There is a life of liberty in Christ free from the bondage of sin and shame because Christ is love and in love we become whole again. The delivering power cannot compare to what the world has to offer so say yes.

If you do say this simple prayer

Heavenmy Father, I confess my sins before you I am a sinner, and sometimes I feel as though I am too far gone but in you I know I am not. I know there is no soul you can’t transform so I ask for forgiveness and boldness to walk by faith and not flesh in Jesus’s name amen.

Thankful

Today ponder on God’s faithfulness to you, unending mercy, grace and his favor and give praise.

Praise destroys the powers of darkness so shout a praise from the depths of your being even if you don’t feel to, shout and proclaim who Jesus Christ is and give him thanks today, it honours him, glorifies him and gives him room to dwell in your heart to grow.

Nathaniel Bassey feat. Enitan Adaba - Imela. (Thank You)

Sing this song sometime during your day if you choose and give thanks with a thankful heart❤

Give freely

Today’s mantra is to give generously with freedom in your heart and mind to give that thing.

There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
Proverbs 11:24 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.11.24.KJV

I also encourage you to read the parable of the pounds Luke 19: 11- 27. I love parables as they give simple yet effective stories to help bring across such an important message. I enjoy reading them all.

I was led to read this parable this morning and Proverbs 11:24 was the verse of the day on my bible app. I felt like they BOTH aligned so perfectly I knew it was God’s message for us today.

GIVE

And yes, I mean you who thinks that they Don’t have half as much as they would like in order to give so freely. The bible says those that have many even more will be given to them because of how they use what they have. So how you use what you have will matter greatly to God, he will give you even more!

Think about it today as you ponder on those scriotures, which I really encourage you to do today befpre you go about your day. Listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice and call in your heart as he speaks to you on where to give because you may be wondering how.

God shows us, even in the smallest of ways. This messages does not only apply to giving of money, but brothers and sisters we can freely and generously give of the peace, hope, love, compassion, joy, laughter, encouraging word, prayer and counsel that God so freely gave us to another person who you may or may not know (that are suffering). Open wide your arms, as Christians I truly believe we are to adopt a welcoming personality to those who need to hear a word from God or receive the love he extends through us. Be that person, do not be stingy today (which I am guilty of) by closing off yourself to any and everyone. Open up, use your gifts even if you think it may be small, and give generously of all that you can without complaining. I believe God becomes truly pleased with us when we do.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father and prince of peace, we thank you for freely giving us your gifts, talents and abilities, help us to open up not just to our fellow believers in Christ but especially to those around us who do not believe, help us to open up and give to them generously with holding nothing. You said that we will be blessed with even more in abundance once we give, and we truly know that only an open palm can recieve more than a tightly fisted one. May we find true joy in giving and realise how impsctful it is. May we also know that you refill us and replenish our strength becaus ehou truly are the fountain of living water, in Jesus name amen.

A time for everything

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 – 5

There is a time and season for every area of life. Trust God’s word because if he said it then it is is TRUE.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3: 11

I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. Ecclesiastes 3: 14

Whatever God has intended for your story will come to past, once you obey him and continue to surrender your life to him. It may not look beautiful right now in this moment, but please please please trust and believe that everything becomes beautiful in God’s timing and way. I believe there is beauty even now for you.

Make the most of the season you are in because trust me, sowing the right seeds now will reap a harvest later.

I love you in the spirit, and God bless

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that every single thing has a time, a season and a purpose. Help me to make the most of where I am now trusting that you make everything beautiful in your time. If your words says it Lord I believe it. Help my faith to increase and believe for more in the name of JESUS amen.

He is good

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 136 : 1

God’s goodness never ceases, and I’m learning this everyday.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23 : 4 I am comforted by the fact that God remains good, through the scary times, through the hardships, and through the blessings and great times!

His nature is good, his character is goodness. He is simply good and today I want to give you a refresher for your mind. Remember even during the time when something amazing happens and you remember that God is good that is also that same God when disappointing things happen or when you are not in the best season at the moment. Also always remember no season is forever but God’s goodness is eternal and he is capable of giving you joy in every circumstance. Please rest assured that God is Good and his mercy endures forever for you.

Give thanks to God today because no matter what your human emotions try to sway yoh into thinking, God loves you, you are valued by him and he is always good to you. Be blessed, it will work out.

Dear Father as we approach various challenges, and tasks at hand help us to simply remember your goodness in every circumstance and trust in the fact that it is not forever but your goodness is. In Jesus’s name amen.

Disciplined

Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me9, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
Psalm 143:1‭-‬12 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.143.1-12.KJV

One thing I learn from David, he was a servant before he became king, and even more than that he remained a servant during his appointed time. Sometimes we need to remember to learn to remain disciplined. Being a servant of God does not mean you are nothing in God’s sight rather the opposite, you are everything in his eyes. He loves you and ultimate fulfilment is found in serving him with your complete life.

Being disciplined in spirit, mind, body and emotions is what will help us to declutter some toxic mindsets, attitudes and patterns of behaviour. We are going on a detox of the mind this week and moving forward (however long it needs to be) and during this time I will share with you what God is teaching me about discipline and how it helps detox and declutter the mental turmoil and stress. Discipline helps you rather than destroys you, you will see in the end the fruit of discipline.

So far God has taught me through my devotional this morning to rise early this will be our first step in creating a pattern and ritual of discipline. Get up and do not lag, it will be hard at first but let’s do it this week the benefits of rising early have been proven to be mentally, physically and spiritually beneficial and as we see in David’s life, he seemed to always create a time and space early in the morning where he went to seek God.

THIS WEEK let us determine to rise early before the sun rises to spend quiet, intimate time with God. Let him lead that quiet time and you listen, wherever he leads, you follow and open yourself up to his delivering power. Do not limit the voice or power of God. You didn’t read this by accident, I know you are not a morning person and you may or may not associate the morning with having to rush off to work, but let’s switch that up shall We?

Be intentional and rise before the sun comes up, be quiet and let God speak.

The next step of this discipline is setting aside a time morning, during the day and at night before you rest to check in with God. Go before him and repent. Set time aside this week in the morning during the day and at night.

RISE EARLY and you will find that it becomes a habit.

Dear God, give us the willpower to rise early create discipline in our hearts as it would benefit us more than we currently know. Help us to speak to you with a raw honesty because you already know where we stand and how we feel. We surrender our depression, sucidical thoughts, anxiety, worry, cares, lust, pornography addictions, lies, thoughts of stealing and the deepest desires of our heart to your feet. Wash us, create in us a clean heart, help us to create a life of discipline by starting our day off rising early with you and may we see the fruit of it through our lives , in Jesus’s name amen.

Leave a comment or message about where you struggle with discipline and how you plan to start the journey of becoming discipline in mind, body and spirit.

Unashamed

Today let’s be determined to be unashamed of the gospel of Christ. Let’s not have this powerful light and seek to hide it away, find someone today and let them know simply that Jesus loves them and has his eye on them, some you may need to hear that and you never know who or how it would impact them.

We need to begin to put our fears away and not be ashamed to actually speak and proclaim our love for our Heavenly Father among unbelievers of every kind. Be bold you don’t have to preach a sermon just where you feel the nudge to share a word with a stranger, a friend or even loved one, it can be a very simple word, but step out in faith and love and share God with people!

Be blessed !

Prayer

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 KJV
https://bible.com/bible/1/act.2.38.KJV

Repentance is a choice either you decide to walk in sin or decide not to, if you need to turn around, turn, as long as there is breath it is never too late.

Dear Heavenly Father help me to be plyable to your correction, your direction and your transformation. As I move forward show me where I am going, and where I may have made the wrong turn. I repent of my past and present sin, I choose to turn around completely and walk in the opposite direction and choose to allow the Holy Spirit to mold me into who he desires me to be, without fear or shame. In Jesus name, have your way! Amen

Be aware

Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 7: 21

Words of wisdom. Not everyone who cries out to God in this time or calls on his name will enter heaven.

Let’s be aware today of how we honour and treat God with our lives. Do we respect and honour him? Are we serving him wholeheartedly? Are we even listening to the still small voice? To follow God’s perfect will we must listen to him in the simplest of tasks too.

I encourage you to read all of Matthew chapter 7

Prayer: Heavenly father search my heart and know my ways

All ways that are hypocritical I repent of, make me right in your eyes. Fix my vision and fix my path. The path Jesus christ died on the cross for me to walk on. In Jesus’ name amen

Immanuel -God’s with us

God is with you despite hpw you feel in this moment. God promised he will NEVER leave you nor forsake you. God is with us.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue:they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof Proverbs 18: 21- you choose this day what words you feed your spirit and surroundings. Choose life
