Today’s mantra is to give generously with freedom in your heart and mind to give that thing.
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
Proverbs 11:24 KJV

I also encourage you to read the parable of the pounds Luke 19: 11- 27. I love parables as they give simple yet effective stories to help bring across such an important message. I enjoy reading them all.
I was led to read this parable this morning and Proverbs 11:24 was the verse of the day on my bible app. I felt like they BOTH aligned so perfectly I knew it was God’s message for us today.
GIVE
And yes, I mean you who thinks that they Don’t have half as much as they would like in order to give so freely. The bible says those that have many even more will be given to them because of how they use what they have. So how you use what you have will matter greatly to God, he will give you even more!
Think about it today as you ponder on those scriotures, which I really encourage you to do today befpre you go about your day. Listen to the Holy Spirit’s voice and call in your heart as he speaks to you on where to give because you may be wondering how.
God shows us, even in the smallest of ways. This messages does not only apply to giving of money, but brothers and sisters we can freely and generously give of the peace, hope, love, compassion, joy, laughter, encouraging word, prayer and counsel that God so freely gave us to another person who you may or may not know (that are suffering). Open wide your arms, as Christians I truly believe we are to adopt a welcoming personality to those who need to hear a word from God or receive the love he extends through us. Be that person, do not be stingy today (which I am guilty of) by closing off yourself to any and everyone. Open up, use your gifts even if you think it may be small, and give generously of all that you can without complaining. I believe God becomes truly pleased with us when we do.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father and prince of peace, we thank you for freely giving us your gifts, talents and abilities, help us to open up not just to our fellow believers in Christ but especially to those around us who do not believe, help us to open up and give to them generously with holding nothing. You said that we will be blessed with even more in abundance once we give, and we truly know that only an open palm can recieve more than a tightly fisted one. May we find true joy in giving and realise how impsctful it is. May we also know that you refill us and replenish our strength becaus ehou truly are the fountain of living water, in Jesus name amen.
